The most exciting game of round 7 in the LDC took place in Santiago. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Moca Superior (8-2) to first ranked Immortals (11-2) 101-100 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Moca Superior. Immortals made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Khalil Small (190-1995, college: Green Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Forward Angel Rivas (198-1993) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Jose Espinal (208-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Immortals have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Moca Superior at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost.
Sixth-ranked Capitanes (4-6) gave a tough game to third ranked Mambas (9-4) in Santiago. Mambas managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected easier game. It was an exceptional evening for Victor Torres (189-1995) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Yormi Almonte accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Joan Santos (201-1993) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Capitanes in the defeat. Mambas moved-up to second place. Capitanes lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost.
A very close game took place in Santiago (derby !!!) between CPN and Fenix. Fourth ranked CPN (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Fenix (2-8). CPN managed to escape with a 3-point win 63-60 on Friday evening. Sammy Rodriguez fired 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Mcgrady Rodriguez produced 20 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Fenix's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CPN maintains fourth place with 6-4 record. Loser Fenix keeps the seventh position with eight games lost.
There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: bottom-ranked Santiago Max lost to Santiago Basket on the opponent's court 70-80. CPN unfortunately lost to Capitanes in a home game 70-73. Immortals rolled over Santiago Max on the road 110-78.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 27 points and 7 rebounds by Tay Hall of Immortals.
